Diving At Phi Phi Island

Many scuba divers have long dreamt about diving at Phi Phi Island. The area is rich in coral life and is a haven for tropical fish. Phi Phi Island, located in Thailand, is considered a must-see area for people who are passionate about marine recreation and activities. In addition to diving, snorkeling, kayaking, cliff diving and fishing are also very popular.
Some folks travel to Phi Phi to learn how to dive. This is possible because of the many diving schools in the area. Of course, many more people travel to Phi Phi already knowing how to scuba dive. For these people, there is an abundance of dive sites and adventures from which to choose.
Phi Phi is surrounded by the Andaman Sea. The Sea, which is part of the Indian Ocean, is nutrient rich which helps contribute to the abundant coral reefs and fish. Although Phi Phi Island was affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, it is still a popular tourist destination. Much work has been done to repair the damaged areas, including road and utility restoration.
